About Chichester Quakers

The Religious Society of Friends – more commonly known as Quakers, share a way of life, not a set of beliefs.

We seek to experience God or The Light directly (without the need for priests/ministers and rituals), within ourselves and in our relationships with others and the world around us. We share the core values of Truth, Equality, Simplicity, Peace and Sustainability.

Chichester Quakers meet regularly for Meeting for Worship, every Sunday morning at 10:30 for an hour followed by coffee. We also meet on the first Thursday of each month at 7.00 pm. If it is your first time at a Quaker Meeting, we suggest you try to arrive a little early as there will be people to talk who will answer any of your questions.

The Children’s Committee organises a planned programme of Sunday Meetings for our children and young people. Please telephone 01243 699843 for information. All the leaders of Children’s Meetings have a current enhanced Vetting and Barring Service certificate.

Companion dogs are warmly welcomed to the Meeting. But it would be appreciated if they kept noise to a minimum.

We have a lovely suntrap of a garden for times of quiet contemplation.
